2:30 am - I’m back

2:30 am - I’m back from Scary Movie Night. We watched Dracula 2000, Halloween H20, Fitaly or something like that and American Psycho 2. They were all OK I suppose. They are scary movies, they are not supposed to be good!

I’m all ready for tonight’s

I’m all ready for tonight’s movie night. I know we’ll be up watching movies until at least 2 or 3 am so I made a point to sleep in this morning.

I’m bringing a pizza, cookies, popcorn and Mt. Dew. I’m not sure what others are bringing.

I was getting ready to

I was getting ready to leave the gym this afternoon after lifting some weights and the girl who had showed me how to use the machines (Ms Fitness, I didn’t see Mr Fitness anywhere) saw me and asked “how are the weights going?” and I said “not that great, the bench press is really kicking my butt.” And she did the usual, she smiled and said “that’s ok!”. She did have a couple words of semi-wisdom.

I did like the fact that she recognized me and, real or not, showed some interest in my progress.

Why is it that when

Why is it that when you are waiting for work to come your way, nothing comes, but when you decide that you are just going to relax and enjoy the day and find something interesting to keep you entertained, suddently it gets busy? Phone call after phone calls, emails, people stopping by your office, people messaging you with computer problems, etc.

Now I don’t mind working, but it’s annoying when things happen ALL at once. Specially if you just had decided to relax.

I should’ve known better. Even

I should’ve known better. Even if it was 38 hrs from the last time I lifted weights, I should have not tried to lift weights again. But I did. And I’m hurting today. Not a big deal I guess. I’ll do the treadmill thing today and I won’t lift again until Saturday.

I think that my workout schedule is going to be like this:
Sunday = off
Monday = weights
Tuesday = cardio
Wednesday = weights
Thursday = cardio
Friday = off
Saturday = weights

Each day with weights also includes a few minutes of cardio, just not to the point of Tuesday and Thursdays.

I’m sore. My arms hurt.

I’m sore. My arms hurt. My chest hurts. I can barely drive or open doors. But I’m going back tonight. I’m looking forward to it.

Did you know that the

Did you know that the plural of abacus is abaci? I made it up, the people in my office laughed at me, and it’s true!

I was planning on buzzing

I was planning on buzzing hair hair tomorrow, like I normally do on Wednesday nights. But my arms are already bothering me from this morning. I better do it tonight before I’m hurting so badly that I may not even be able to open a can of Pepsi One in the morning.

This morning I got up

This morning I got up and Mr. and Ms. Fitness ‘02 taught me how to use the machines and find my target weight. OK, so they didn’t have any awards as far as I know. But you know the kind, perfect bodies, right out of a modeling magazine and you know they are giggling when you aren’t looking.

My arms are dead, I could barely even shower after the exercises.

I was pretty embarrased because obviously I wasn’t lifting much weight and gave up in a couple machines. And the girl was like “it’s ok, we can lower the weight. And you said you’ll come in the evenings, you’ll do better then if you are a night person!”

It didn’t sound very sincere.

But I feel good and I look forward to more exercise.
