Today’s Christmas party was fun.Today’s Christmas party was fun. I ate all day long. Chocolate, chips and salsa, cookies, and a bunch of other things that I do not know what they were, but they tasted great. I just ate and ate and ate. Yum. Then at 3:30 we all went bowling. w00t! I scored an 84 or so the first time (I beat Andy!) and then I got a 93 (and I beat Andy again!) A good time was had by all.
I’m not drunk. I stoppedI’m not drunk. I stopped at the right time. I think that 2 or 3 more shots would had made me rethink driving home, but I’m fine with the amount I had. And about 4 or 5 more shots and I would had probably started to get pretty bad. All in all we had fun baking stuff. I made 2 different kinds of bread and Dennis made 3 kinds of brownies. Eva gave me some “cranberry bread” mix which didn’t sound good. So instead I bought “cinnamon bread” and made that instead. Tomorrow I can give her the box back and say “I wasn’t going to make this crap.” OK, so that sounds a little mean, but it was damn funny an hour ago. I’m drinking plenty of waterI’m drinking plenty of water in preparation of “chocolate cake night” and getting some food in my stomach. A smart drunk is me! Tonight Dennis and I areTonight Dennis and I are baking for tomorrow’s party. And we’ll be doing chocolate cake shots. What is a chocolate cake shot, you ask. Well, thanks to bartender Ron (San Diego) we know that it is 3 parts Vodka and 1 part Frangelico. Get a lemon wedge, sprinkle it with sugar. Suck the lemon juice and leave it in your mouth. Then do the shot. It’ll taste just like chocolate cake going down. It’ll be interesting tonight. Alcohol and hot appliances probably don’t mix too well.
Seeing Ozzy Osborne talk backSeeing Ozzy Osborne talk back at the ocean and calling it an “asshole” is the highlight of my week. I always get the munchiesI always get the munchies on the weekends. Today is specially bad. I could eat just about anything put in front of me. Pizza sounds really good about now. So does Taco Bell. I realize that most people do not like Taco Bell, but I am happy with a coupld burritos. Taco Bell is filling and cheap. It’s obviously not even close to real Mexican food, but it works when you have a craving for it. I made cheese quesadillas for dinner last night. I used a lot of butter when I put the tortilla in the pan. Ron told me that he also made some last night, but that he made a “double decker” - a two layered quesadilla. He is such a Martha and an over-achiever.
I went to the gymI went to the gym today and this huge lady with one of those big dresses on was exercising. I just smiled and thought “you go, girl!” I was glad to see her make a point to change herself.
Taken, the scifi channel series.Taken, the scifi channel series. What a waste of 20 hours of my life. The first 5 episodes (10 hrs) were on the boring side but they made the 2nd half of the series look so entertaining. So I kept watching. Shows 6-9 were pretty good. They were suspenseful, mysterious, lots of alien stuff going on, and then suddenly, show 10 involves 1.5 hrs of nothing, followed by a nose-bleed scene followed by a goodbye. How disappointing. No wonder they decided to show the series in 2 weeks. If it was 1 episode a week, people wouldn’t watch it after the first couple of episodes. Well, I don’t know ifWell, I don’t know if this will really fly, or if anyone will use it. But I am now allowing comments to my posts. So for the 2 of you who occasionally read this, feel free to post. Just think before you post, do not embarrass me! |
