I just got done sending an email to one of the DJs on the 90s channel on XM Satellite Radio. He had an exclusive interview with Eminem. The interview had a ton, and I mean a ton, of bad language. But it was so funny. I was laughing so hard in my car.
Well, a group of people decided to complain about the 90s channel and the adult language and the DJ’s boss made him apologize on the air.
People should do their job, which is, to keep their children away from channels that have adult content. The 90s has always had adult language. It doesn’t bother me. It doesn’t bother most people. It bothers a small vocal minority that love to scream “think of the children!” at any chance they get. It’s always a few of them that ruin the fun for the rest of us.
There are 99 other channels for them to listen to. If they had children in the car, they should have changed to XM Kids and if they didn’t like adult language, why were they listening to the 90s channel to begin with? People need to understand that not everyone is like them. Just like they may want to listen to the Christian channels all day long (and I respect that), it doesn’t mean that I don’t want to listen to the occasional adult language, all in good fun.
There is no reason for others to push their morals on the rest. And that is my point.
