American Idol auditions

I watch Fox News when I can’t find anything else on TV. Lately they’ve been highlighting random people in line waiting to try out for American Idol.

Maybe it’s just me, but there seems to be 2 types of people in line:
- Those who do the “shacky voice” thing (and therefore think that they can sing well)
- Those who change the pitch (?) up and down almost randomly as in an R&B type song, even if it doesn’t fit the song.

Who told any of these people that they could sing? I actually feel bad for Simon at this point.
