Yay. Drama time. 1:15 am central time. Here’s the deal, as it’s happening.
My phone rings at 12:30 am and I see it’s from a friend on a different time zone, I figure that he just wants to say hi - I’ve been sleeping for over 1 hr, I ignore it and go back to sleep. 20 minutes later the phone rings again, it’s him again, I’m like “he doesn’t know the time difference?” and I go back to sleep. But something in my gut tells me to check my voicemail. I check it. It’s a friend of his “Dave, call me at -friend’s place- right now, please, wake up, call me. He is bleeding and he needs stitches.”
So I call back. It turns out that my friend accidently broke a bedroom window, he is now bleeding a lot, he is needing stitches and his other friend (the one who called me) doesn’t have a car (since he was picked up by my friend) and he has had a few drinks and can’t even drive a stick. Well, so his friend tells me that my friend picked up the keys and drove off to a hospital.
So, as I’m typing this, my friend is driving to the hospital with, I think, a few drinks in his system, arm bleeding needing stitches. We don’t know which hospital he went to or anything.
So what would you do? I looked up on the Internet the 3 closest hospitals. Gave his friend the names, phone numbers and even walking directions for those 3 hospitals. Then you sit here, awake, waiting for a call back from someone.
And you know that you are a true Internet addict when you go to your own site to post to vent and kill some time waiting for some kind of news.
