Bag handling

I have a small portable DVD player that I like to take on trips. It allows me to watch movies during a layover or during long boring flights.

I only had a carry on with me the last time I flew to/from San Diego. On the way back, while on a layover in Houston, I was asked to check the bag in because it was a small plane. Rather than arguing (I’ve carried that bag many times before), I checked it in for the flight.

Today I got my DVD player out of the bag and hooked it back up to my TV in the bedroom. To my surprise, the player had been banged up pretty badly. So badly that certain pieces had been knocked out of their places and the player wouldn’t even close anymore. Now, this is an expensive gadget. So I was pretty pissed.

Fear not, I grabbed one of those eyeglass screwdriver, opened the player and reassembled it. And guess what, it worked. I kick ass.
