Photoblog is back up

Well, so my server went down again. And this time the Photoblog was disabled, so after all, the script that runs it was not responsible for the server issues. So I enabled it again.

After some digging through the system logs, I noticed that the Googlebot was requesting dozens of comment listings at once. As you know, my server is super slow, and it takes forever to display comments. Imagine going through my blog entries and clicking on 20+ comment links at once. It’d take forever. And my server would overload.

I think that’s what the problem was. I went ahead and added a robots file so that the links to the comments are not followed. Let’s hope that this fixes the problem.
