How UPS ruined Christmas

First of all, greetings from beautiful, warm and sunny Oceanside, California (just north of San Diego.) I’m spending a couple of weeks here. Enjoying the warm weather and planning to pay Mickey Mouse at least one visit.

Now let’s move on to a story. I got a Christmas present for Ron here in CA. The box was somewhat big to carry on the plane with me so I just shipped it via UPS. I timed it right so that it’d be here the day before Christmas (today). I figured that I’d be in Ron’s apartment and could sign for it.

You see, the box would kind of give away what it is. So I wanted to be here to sign for it and wrap it. That’s why I wanted for the package to get here today.

So I wait on my ass all day. Finally at around 1 pm I decide to track the package online only to see that it had been signed for by some stranger. I freak out. No one had knocked on the door all day. I opened the door and there it was, a UPS delivery attempt notice. It looks like they just sent it to the office in the apartment complex and then left a note on the apartment’s door and didn’t even knock to at least alert me of the fact.

I was upset but whatever. I put my shoes on and I walked to the office only to find out that they closed this afternoon and they’ll also be closed all day tomorrow.

So thank you UPS for ruining Christmas by not delivering the package like you should have. Now I have nothing to give tomorrow.

I’m so upset I could scream.
