Interest ratesI know. Interest rates. What a fascinating topic. But I just wanted to give you a heads up. Make sure you keep a close eye on the Annual Purchase Rates (APR) percentages of your credit cards. A year or so ago, I applied and got a Citibank credit card with a fixed 8.9% APR. As I was paying off the card last week, I noticed that it now said 11.9%. So I called customer service and sure enough, my rate had been raised. Most likely for carrying too low of a balance (under $500) for most of the time. He was unable to tell me why, he just said that I should have received a “change of terms” sheet, which I’m sure I did. We all get those and, for the most part, trash them after a quick glance. So I went ahead and closed the account. I will say that the guy who answered the phone was probably the nicest, politest agent I’ve ever dealt with over the phone (maybe it was his first day, or he was in training or being supervised.) IdiotsAll day I’ve been dealing with idiots with PhDs.
New album categoryI added a new category in the photo album. It’s a collection of the splash mountain pictures that we have purchased to date.
Not meThank you and good day.
HeavenI’m backSo I’m finally back from my 2 week trip to San Diego. I went to Disneyland a couple of times. Did you know that alcohol greately enhances the loops in roller coasters? I also got my first professional full body massage. That was very nice. Now I’m hooked. I had delicious Sushi. Who knew that eel could actually taste so good? I’m always up for good sushi and what I ate in San Diego was definitely good. But now I’m back at work and trying to make my way through a few hundred emails.
UpdatingFirst of all, I’m surprised that I managed to post here last night. I can’t remember doing it, but I guess I did. We went out to a bar to celebrate the new year. I drank, played darts and I remember hugging some guy on the way out and telling him “Happy new year! Give me a hug!” I also remember some lady giving me a glow stick and telling her “you rock!” Other than that, I’ve been having fun here in San Diego. We went to Disneyland a few days ago and even though it was crowded, we got on several rides (we’ve discovered some secrets for the Fast Pass, so we can have quite a few fast passes at the same time), and we also got to see the fireworks show, with the fake snow all over main street, and then we also made it to Fantasmic (an excellent show which originated in California and then it was recreated at Disneyworld in Orlando) We also went “next door” to California Adventure where they sell alcohol and had a few drinks. Then we went to Disneyland buzzed. It was kind of fun. I know I’m making it sound like I’ve been drinking all Christmas long, but that’s not the case. Really! I think that we are going back to Disneyland on Monday. We expect it to be a very slow day. And then I fly back on Wednesday. Couldn’t I just stay here? |
