Super Tuesday

My dad, in Spain, has heard the term “Super Tuesday”, which is what I also keep hearing on the news. Something about the primaries or whatever. This is what my dad send me on an email this morning:

“I had read on the newspaper that today is Super Tuesday, so this morning I woke up a little apprehensive, nervous and even with some high expectations. I woke up little by little and while I was eating breakfast I was thinking that today is going to be a great day. How couldn’t it be with a name like that? Later I walked up to the window the window, looked outside with intrigue and excitement just to see if there were any external signs of such a wonderful day, unfortunately I didn’t observe anything special. So I thought that even though Super Tuesday was here, it was probably not the right Super Time yet. And like I do everyday, I started watching TV. I’ll confess that I watched it with more curiosity and interest today than other days since no one knows what could happen.

11:30 came around and I didn’t see anything special happening, so I got ready and went out for a walk. Neither on the street nor in the places I went to did I see anything different. So I was home by 2 pm, somewhat disappointed if I may say so. Then I ate lunch and took a nap, and still nothing happened that merited the “Super Tuesday” title. I’m starting to think that this is an American invention to distract the world population and give us some excitement and help us get through our boring routine. Of course, there’s always this afternoon! Who knows!”
