Decisions

There are a couple of things that I have decided over the last few days.

#1 - I want to get paid but not go to work. If I figure this one out, I’ll let you know. Maybe.

#2 - I’m done going to wedding ceremonies.

You see, I went to a wedding this weekend. The wedding was nice. The people were nice. But the minister kept bringing up over and over and over and over again that marriage is between one man and one woman. I doubt that many people, if anyone, noticed, but I was getting upset. I wanted to just walk out but I couldn’t do that to the bride and groom. I was upset and hurt.

So I’ve decided that I will stop attending wedding ceremonies. I will celebrate the bride and groom’s special day at their reception. But I can no longer be a part of something that makes me feel like a 2nd class citizen.
