My lunch break

I was at home enjoying a delicious BBQ Beef sandwhich and watching another hilarious The Daily Show when my phone rang.

It was a call from my department, so I thought it was someone calling me to remind me to bring something from home or whatever, basically a personal call.

It turns out that it was a work-related call. Someone had called the department and had a question and since I was not in the office, I guess that the secretary decided to call me at home and tried to transfer the call to me.

What the hell? It’s my freaking lunch break. Just because I can be reached at home, it doesn’t mean that I should be sent more work during my lunch break. Take a message and I’ll return the call when I’m back in the office. That was just plain rude.

So from now on, I’m done answering any calls from the university during my breaks. They can leave a message if they want to and I will ignore anything work-related.
