Paperwork

As most of you know, I’m not a US citizen. In fact, I’m in my process of getting my green card.

One of the steps for the employment-based green card (my employer is requesting it for me) is to get the department of labor to say that indeed you are needed and wanted in the USA. This is not an easy step. The hardest step in the green card process actually. I hired a lawyer for it and even with that we ran into a couple of bumps during the process.

Well, I am excited to say that my paperwork has been processed, approved and certified. That means that I am this close to getting my green card after all these years. All that is left is send some stuff to the INS and wait for them to do their thing and issue it.

Yay! I wish I could describe how excited I got when I heard, a few minutes ago, that my case had been certified. In fact, I got so excited that I pooped twice in five minutes. That’s how excited I am.
