I’m back! I’m back!

I’ve been back for almost a week but life has been crazy (or work rather) and I just had to put several things to the side until things slowed down a little.

So I went to Thailand. And more amazingly, I made it back. I had never traveled so far away and was actually a little afraid of suck remote lands. The 19 hour flight to get there didn’t sound like fun either.

Thailand has some very beautiful areas and some very ugly areas. But slowly, the ugliness fades away in your memory and you remember the beauty that Thailand has to offer. Amazingly polite people, beautiful beaches, and cheap cheap souvenirs!

There is one thing that stuck with me and I do not know if I will be able to forget easily. And that is the rampant level of prostitution. I was offered girls several times an hour (not a day, but an hour.) This is a conversation I had with a taxi driver:
- Would you like to ride my taxi?
- No thanks.
- How about a girl then?
- No thanks, I’m just heading over to my hotel.
- She can go to the hotel with you.
- No thanks, I’m just going to take a shower.
- She will shower with you.
- No thanks.
