Skype

As much of a Technoweenie as I am, I sometimes miss on Internet fads. This time I completely missed out on Skype which is one of those Internet telephony programs.

It seems pretty cool. You can talk to people on the Internet for free and I guess it also lets you make phonecalls to regular phones if you want to pay for it.

So I created an account, and I went out to see if I could find someone to talk to. I can’t find anyone I know in the user’s directory. So maybe that’s why I haven’t used Skype until now; none of you use it!

So now I have this neat program on my computer, and no one to say hi to.

I don’t like to talk to strangers, mostly because I have an accent, but if you want to say hi, send me an email and I’ll turn my Skype on. My username is davere.

China is a no go

A couple days ago I was told that I was being sent to China to meet with our partner schools.

The next day I was filling out the paperwork to obtain a work visa to enter the country.

Today I’m not going to China just yet.

Whatever.

Now they say that maybe in May. All I know is that if I am flying that far, that I will have to have my picture taken on the Great Wall. That way people can see me from space.
