Am I a pet killer?Earlier this afternoon, we got a call saying that the cat passed away at the vet. The doctor said that it was very fast and unexpected. The blood work came back showing a very low white cell count which, I guess, means some kind of toxicity/poisoning. So it is very likely that the cat died by eating the spider that I killed last night. I guess karma is a bitch. Ron is doing pretty well though, thankfully. Here kitty kitty kit…ackRon’s cat (new Ron, not the Ron who moved to Wichita) is sick. He started puking last night and making loud meow noises. We couldn’t figure out why he’d be vomiting but then we wondered if he ate a spider that we killed last night with some insecticide. We took him to the vet this morning (as he was still throwing up) and and the doctor stuck a thermometer up the cat’s ass. A few minutes later he said that the cat had a fever and if the cat had eaten something poisonous that he would have normal or below-normal temperature. So that means that there is something worse going on. The cat now gets to spend the night in the vet’s office. They are going to perform a blood test and they are going to give him some antibiotics to try to lower his temperature. I hope it’s nothing serious. Hooker and Beaver

You live, you learnA few minutes ago I said It was definitely not the easiest thing I’ve ever done. I’ll miss them both very dearly. I can’t wait to see them again.
Ron’s last dayToday is the last day in Hays for Ron and Barkley. They will both be leaving for Wichita on Saturday morning. To give Ron something to remember, his coworkers wrapped everything on his desk on aluminum paper. They then took a picture of him, photoshopped an afro and mailed it around. This is the final result:
