You know it’s not going to be a good day when your computer shows a big red exclamation mark, you click on it and see this: A VERY COLD ARCTIC AIRMASS WILL BE MOVING INTO THE REGION TODAY AND TONIGHT.
Whenever the weather turns bad, specially unusably cold like it was yesterday and will continue to be for the next couple of days, I like to put the blame on either Canada or Colorado. Canada because we all know it’s cold there, and they all live in igloos and every person rides a moose to work. Colorado has the rocky mountains. That’s where they plant and grow the igloos that they then ship to Canada. So it’s cold there too.
My solution is to build the Great Wall of Warmth that will keep the cold air in Canada and in Colorado. The rest of us will enjoy warm winters and we’ll be able to wear shorts and t-shirts all year around. Like the dork I saw yesterday in 20-degree weather.
I have a phone interview tomorrow for a job in warmer lands. It’s a pretty cool job at what seems to be a good institution. I hope I do well so that I can get a face to face interview and maybe secure and offer. I’m definitely qualified for the job, let’s hope they also see it. I’ll post a follow-up.
