Meowww! I said, meowwww!!!!

Poor Lady. She has gone into heat.

How is this possible? Well, we had been led to believe that she had been spayed before we got her (based on the vet’s assessment.) So a quick search on the Internet explained that sometimes some uterus tissue is missed which causes the cat to go into heat. She can’t get pregnant, but she will exhibit the same symptoms as a cat that has not been spayed.

It’s horrible, you feel so bad for her. She meows non-stop. She lifts her butt up in the air and then rolls around the floor. You so want to be able to do something for her so she is not miserable, but there is nothing that you can do except to not get mad at her. I’ve had a couple bad nights of sleep so far. This would explain her strange behavior a couple days before it was obvious what was happening.

So we’ll be taking her to the vet today so that they can look inside and remove whatever was left behind so that she does not suffer again in the future.

Poor Lady.
