Orlando or bust

Today is my last day at my job in Kansas. Just a few more hours and I will have ended employment here after 7 years and 7 months.

Most everything in the house is packed. I just need to put away the computer over my lunch break and pack my clothes in trash bags or whatever I can find. Some more cleaning and that’s it.

Tomorrow we’ll grab the truck, load it and start driving whenever we are done. We are hoping to make it to at least Kansas City before calling it a day. That will make the next couple of days of driving a little more tolerable. We’ll past through St. Louis, Nashville and Atlanta before reaching our final destination, Orlando, FL. Hopefully we can make it there as early as Sunday afternoon or early evening. Some daylight would be nice to at least unload the beds! Otherwise it is floor + sleeping bags for us.

My Internet is getting disconnected today so I’ll be unreachable (except for my cell phone) after I leave the office this afternoon and until the installation date in Orlando sometime next week.
