Since I’ve been gone

Kelly Clarkson’s “Since You’ve Been Gone” seems to be my soundtrack here in Florida.

It was the song playing on my way out of my job interview a couple months ago right after I had pretty much been offered the job. And it also happened to be the song playing on the radio on my way to my first day at my new job.

I have survived my first day which was pretty much just comprised of orientation, signing a stack of papers and meeting countless of people whose names I hope to remember.

Everyone seems very friendly at the new job and I look forward to returning tomorrow for the first real day of work.

The weather has been absolutely fantastic as well. Today was sunny was again and a temperature in the low 70s. It definitely beats the 9 degrees I got to experience on my last day in Kansas while loading the moving truck!

My brain is exhausted from trying to absorb loads of information so I’ll leave it at that for now. So far I’m loving it here even though I’ll have to start from scratch meeting people and making friends.
