Our upstairs neighbor just brought us two huge containers of rice and beans. Don’t think of it as odd, she is Hispanic. Odd would have been two containers of escargot. Unless she was French. Which she isn’t.
So the question is, what is her motivation? Is she trying to welcome us to the complex, two months late? Or is she trying t0 bribe us so that we don’t keep her up with loud movies at night? Or maybe she wants the downstairs apartment because it has a screened-in patio and it’s cooler now that summer is coming, so she is trying to kill us?
Is this a delicious gift from a non-French lady. Or is it a gift from hell?
