Going to Boston

I am at the Orlando airport getting ready to go to Boston for a few days for work. I’ll be back home on Thursday afternoon. I’m not a big fan of Boston, so I hope it goes by fast.

I’m flying Airtran and there was a HUGE like of people waiting to check in and a handful of unused touch screens. I walked up to one and checked myself and my bag in. I got plenty of nasty looks from people in the line, but whatever, I’ll never see them again. They are all going home to Minnesota or wherever. They could have done the same thing. I also purchased a cheap upgrade to business class so that my 3hr hour flight is more comfortable.

Then while waiting in line to get some lunch at Burger King (gotta love healthy airport food) there was a kid wearing shorts, t-shirt, sandals and thick wool socks. And not just any socks. I’m talking extra thick looong wool socks that disappeared up into his shorts. For the love of God, it’s summer, it’s Florida, why would anyone want to do that?

Orlando, being the #1 family destination in the country, has a disproportionate number of children. So here I am, sitting at the airport, trying to relax and there is a kid kicking a soccer ball against a wall. The parents think it’s hilarious. Everyone thinks it’s freaking annoying.

I think I’m going to move to another seat.
