Orlando’s finest

Orlando’s water is, well, tasty (and not in a good way.) It has a flavor. Isn’t it a bad thing when you get to taste water?

Orlando’s water …
… So good you can taste it.
… It makes your taste buds sizzle.
… The water that tastes you back.
… A taste all its own.
… What’s the worst that could happen?

The Internet is for porn

I often get a kick out of reading spam messages because they are so graphic and disgusting. But I just got one spam that separates it from the rest. Whoever sent it actually took the time to compose a well-written message.

This site is not for the faint of heart.
Here all morals are thrown to the wind and man boldly goes where most dare not walk.
The catchword here is Juicy and Unruly.
What on occurs is not your natural sex, instead hammer hard screw games devoid of all taboos.
This is something for only the most adventurous screw masters and craving addicts.
Burning, hard and unparalleled; and all in the best picture and tone quality available.
No where else you will watch show an like that; only here.

Typhoon Lagoon

Today I was relaxing at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. Sitting on picture perfect white sand, under the shade of a palm tree, listening to exotic background music.

beach

And then it hit me. This is what it would be like every day if I was a millionaire.

So I’ve decided to just be rich. And I’ll get right on it as soon as I get back to work on Monday.

Newbies

Unlike the people who go to Disneyland, most of the people who come to disneyworld have never been here before or were here many years ago. Everything is new to them and you can tell how much they are enjoying their experience.

Here I am, sitting waiting for the show Fantasmic to start and a guy sits in front of me and asks “what is this?” as he sits down. I do find that amusing. He just followed a crowd of people into a huge outdoor theater and sits down. Why not find out first?

But then they are on vacation and they usually check their brain (and a large part of their motor skills) at the gate.

Spanglish

A lot of people out here in Florida speak Spanish (Puerto Ricans, Cubans, Mexicans, Spaniards, etc) So I always find it amusing when people assume that I cannot speak Spanish.

I just walked over to the mailbox to get my mail (my last check from FHSU was there waiting for me) and as I was getting close I heard a couple arguing in English. But as soon as I got close, they immediately switched to Spanish until they thought I was far away from them and I couldn’t hear them, then they went back to English.

They were arguing about the woman being a jerk to the guy’s friend. Nothing juicy. Maybe next time.

Disconnecting Dish Network

Now that I am moving to Florida, I have decided to return to cable and dump Dish Network. Their prices keep going up, they don’t carry some of the channels I want, and the cable company in Orlando has agreed to freeze my rate for the next 2 years as of this month.

But it turns out that Dish is saying that I owe them money. The conversation went like this:

Dish - You still owe us $100 [not true, it’s about $90 for the every-channel package)
Me - For what?
Dish - Service for Feb 15 - March 15. You pay a month ahead of time.
Me - I’m scheduled for disconnection Feb 14th.
Dish - You still have an outstanding balance.
Me - Why would I pay for a month in which I won’t be receiving service?
Dish - We’ll refund you once you disconnect.
Me - That sounds pointless, why would I give you money to then get that money refunded?
Dish - Because the account still shows that amount due for the next month of service.
Me - When is the bill due?
Dish - Feb 20th
Me - So that’s after I am already disconnected. What if I don’t pay? Then it will all balance out to $0 owed.
Dish - (silence)

Coke (classic formula?)

Orlando is not all fairies and castles.

Last night we drove to a couple apartments to check them out before wasting time with the office people to see if we really wanted to rent there.

We first went to a place that was renting town houses. Not 10 seconds into the complex we saw a guy who sitting outside his home and he offered to sell us some coke. Probably not the delicious kind (to me). We walked around for a couple more minutes to see how trashy the whole place was and left.

Extra caffeinated goodness

Am I the only one who is excited about the new upcoming Coke Blak?

coke blak

Coke and coffee mixed into a single delicious caffeinated drink. I’m not a coffee drinker mind you, but I like the taste and smell of it. Mix it with one of my favorite beverages (no, not Sauza Tres Generaciones) and it sounds like a winning drink!

Oh, and please ignore the line over the a. If you didn’t ignore it, you’d have to call it “Coke Blake.”
