My latest obsessionWhen I see something I like, I obsess with it until I either buy it or talk myself out of it. 99% of the times I must buy it. It’s about impossible to talk me out of getting things. Now I want a PSP. Could someone please talk me out of it? If I had my car (still in the shop), I would go buy one now.

The gaping asshole worksI explained in a previous entry that people were hotlinking to my images, therefore using up the bandwidth that I personally pay for. So I renamed the files and substituted the picture of people wearing a tinfoil hat with a picture of a nasty gaping asshole. A few people have noticed what I had done and removed the images from their posts and websites. My favorite one was the one who also wrote this comment: A winner is me!!!!11
Gaping assholeA lot of people on the Internet like to hotlink to pictures. Hotlinking: “It is possible to use a HTML tag in a webpage to embed material from another site in it. Thus when the webpage is sent to someone to view, the bandwidth for the embedded material is supplied by the owner of the second site.” [source] So basically they were stealing my bandwidth. My most famous popular pictures are a tinfoil hat and a red button. People would find them through Google Images. I was tired of bandwidth thieves, so I went ahead and overwrote those pictures with a picture of a (DON’T CLICK IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE DISGUSTED) horribly ugly gaping asshole. This means that now there are hundreds of pages out there (profiles, discussion forums, personal websites, etc, etc) that now show a gaping asshole instead of a cute tinfoil hat picture. A few people have noticed it and quickly removed the picture. But most people still see it. I love seeing some girl’s webpage with flowers and unicorns and a gaping asshole.
Mission accomplishedGas prices are going to jump up to 25 cents in the next few days - fill up!
Welcome to the new server!Yay! *fanfare* Welcome to the new server! Not only is this server faster but I am also using a new blogging system. It’s called Wordpress and it’s so much better than MovableType. I love it. The only problem is that I can’t get the comments from the commenting system to be assigned to the correct posts, so right now the comments will appear under the incorrect posts. Any new comments will appear in the right places. So I’m not quite sure if there is anything I can do about the comments other than to delete the old ones. But we’ll see. Enjoy!
Server moveI’m going to host my site on a different server. This means that for the next couple of days, my site and email me be unreachable at random times. I also plan on moving away from MovableType for my blog management to WordPress. This means that my site may be up, but my blog may not. Or maybe things will look weird for a few days. But hopefully I’ll be able to get everything working properly asap. I’ll try to begin my move tomorrow. May the force be with me (I hate Star Wars by the way.)
Emptiness (but not in my heart)Wow, I forgot that I had reduced the # of posts on this page to display only 3 days due to the large amount of pictures that I was posting. I was too busy to post and now look at this, it looks so empty. I need to either start posting pictures again or I need to up the number of days that are displayed on the main page.
Main page shortenedI have shortened the main page so that it only displays 3 days worth of content instead of 7. Since I’ve been posting a lot of pictures, the main page has slowed down considerably.
Upload speedsMy server’s upload speeds are not that great, which means that my page slows considerably when I have a lot of photoblog pictures on the main page. So I’m gonna try flickr which is a photoblogging service which allows me to post pics to my blog but the pictures are hosted remotedly. This means that in about 10 minutes, my last server-hosted picture will be processed and posted. Any pictures after that one will be hosted remotedly. If it works well, I’ll stick with it.
